Privacy Policy

Summary

Public education pages and a personalized recovery roadmap can be used without an account. Before sign-in, your dog’s roadmap and care entries are stored in this browser. You can choose to save and sync them using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore with an email/password account or an anonymous guest account. IVDD Companion is intended for adult dog owners.

Information we collect and use

We use the details you choose to enter—such as dog profiles, recovery dates, daily logs, medications and dose confirmations, milestones, checklists, recovery episodes, dated veterinary instructions, task status, and veterinary contact notes—to provide the guide and tracking features. Account information includes an email address for email/password accounts, a Firebase user identifier, guest-account status, and account timestamps.

Messages you send to parkdigitalventures@gmail.com are used to respond to feedback, corrections, support questions, and privacy requests. We do not currently add Google Analytics, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting.

Browser storage and guest access

Browser storage holds your device roadmap and daily entries before sign-in, and caches your account’s dog profile and care entries after sign-in. Guide selections may also be saved locally. Choosing to import your device roadmap saves its profile, plan history, and daily entries to your account. Device draft records are removed only after the import succeeds. Existing account roadmaps for a different dog are kept separate. When Firebase is disabled, care records stay in that browser.

A Firebase guest account is anonymous sign-in, not a promise that records stay only on your device: guest care records are saved in Firestore under that guest's identifier. Guest access depends on the original browser session; clearing site data or signing out can lose access. Linking the guest account to an email/password account helps preserve access across devices.

Anyone with access to your signed-in browser may be able to see your records. Clearing browser site data removes local information but does not by itself delete records stored in Firebase.

Service providers

Google's Firebase Authentication handles account creation, sign-in, guest access, and password resets; Cloud Firestore stores account and care records. Some pages load Google Fonts, which sends normal connection information, including your IP address, to Google when fonts are requested. Hosting and infrastructure providers may process request information such as the requested URL, time, IP address, and user agent in operational logs.

Advertising

IVDD Companion supports Google AdSense on selected public education pages. When advertising is enabled, those pages can load Google's advertising script and display ads. Advertising availability depends on the site's configuration and Google's ad serving.

Advertising placements are restricted to selected public education pages. Authentication, onboarding, private care records and forms, emergency pages, and error screens are excluded. Google Ads Settings manages your Google advertising preferences; it is not a substitute for withdrawing consent through this site's own privacy choices when advertising is enabled.

Removing records and privacy requests

In Settings, Reset all data removes dog profiles and their associated logs, checklists, medications, dose confirmations, and milestones from the signed-in account, including plan history and task status, together with that browser’s cached profile and logs. Before sign-in or in local-only mode it removes the local care records. A separate device draft is not removed by resetting a signed-in account. This control does not delete your Firebase sign-in account or its account record, clear every guide preference saved in the browser, or manage any provider logs or backups.

The app does not offer an account-deletion button. Contact parkdigitalventures@gmail.com for account deletion, questions about how long information is kept, or other privacy requests, including requests concerning an account you can no longer access.

Children's privacy and policy changes

IVDD Companion is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The revision date above identifies the latest substantive update to this policy.
